Woburn Police Investigating after Child Found Unresponsive in Swimming Pool
WOBURN — Chief Robert J. Ferullo Jr. reports that the Woburn Police Department is investigating after a 3-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a family swimming pool this evening.
Woburn Police responded at 4:47 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a missing child. Upon arrival, officers met with the boy’s family members who reported that he was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Officers began a search, and the boy was soon discovered in the home’s backyard swimming pool, which was uncovered and partially filled with dirty water and leaves. The boy was removed, unresponsive, from the water and taken by ambulance to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. There is no word on his condition at this time.
This incident is under investigation by the Woburn Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. There is no further information available at this time.
