WHEN
Thursday, May 10, at 8:30 a.m.
WHERE
Rochester Middle School and McClelland Middle School, 47 Brock St., Rochester
WHO
- Representatives from the City of Rochester
- Approximately 250 Keller Williams volunteers
- RED Day Committee Co-Chairs Barbara Marzoli and Melissa Lesniak
WHAT
Keller Williams’ RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is an annual tradition in which associates give back to the communities they serve. This year, approximately 250 representatives from the company’s various office locations in New Hampshire and Maine will do hands-on improvement work at the McClelland School complex in Rochester.
Among many smaller beatification projects, KW associates will plant flower beds around the elementary school and trim the fence line around the complex. They will also begin work to refurbish an area known as “the dust bowl,” by laying a bed of gravel and establishing a perimeter for an eventual outdoor basketball court.
The largest project being completed will be the complete refurbishing and rehabilitating of the enclosed playground area at the elementary school.
“RED Day is an opportunity for us to give back to the communities that have supported us throughout the year,” Keller Williams agent and RED Day Committee Co-Chair Barbara Marzoli said.
“This day of service is something all of our agents look forward to every year, and this project will have a great impact on Rochester and its kids,” added Co-Chair and Agent Melissa Lesniak.
Keller Williams’ Red Day Committee identified the McClelland School projects as a unique fit for the program, given the amount of work required, as well as the size and overall skill set of their volunteer force.
“I am absolutely thrilled and extremely grateful that so many members of the Keller Williams team will be pitching in to help get this work done,” Mayor McCarley said. “This project will go a long way toward improving the school complex for students and the community as a whole.”
