Burlington Police Charge Man After Hidden Camera Found In Staff Restroom at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center
BURLINGTON — Chief Michael Kent and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan report that Michael Mcdermott, 21, of Tewksbury has been charged following a Burlington Police Department investigation into an alleged hidden camera placed in an employee restroom at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
After an investigation led by Burlington Police Detectives and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Mcdermott has been charged with:
- Photographing an Unsuspecting Nude Person (Three Counts)
- Possession of a Wiretap Device
On Thursday, March 29, officials at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center reported to Burlington Police that a recording device was found hidden in a staff-only restroom at the hospital. An investigation commenced, which led to the suspect being identified and charged.
At this time, police have ascertained that multiple people were videoed in a state of undress while using the restroom.
The arraignment will be scheduled at a later date.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
