Bedford, N.H. Police Department Holds Annual Awards Ceremony
BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski is pleased to announce that several members of the Bedford Police Department were honored at an annual awards ceremony, and a new police officer was sworn in.
On Wednesday, Dec. 20, numerous police officers and department personnel received awards for various achievements over the past year during the department’s annual awards ceremony at the Bedford Police Station.
The following department members received The Chief’s Letter of Recognition for outstanding work:
- Renee Bartlett, Records Clerk
- Officer Tyler Berry
- Officer Corey Ford
- Officer James McMillen
- Officer Amy Champagne
- Officer Patrick Gilligan
The following officers received the Life Saving Award:
- Officers Brian Masker, Brandon Brown and James McMillen saved a distraught person who tried to harm herself.
- Officer Patrick Gilligan revived a female who had overdosed.
The following officers received the Meritorious Service Award:
- Officer Patrick Gilligan — for outstanding overall police work in investigations and arrests.
- Officer Scott Norris — for outstanding overall police work in investigations, arrests and motor vehicle activity.
During the ceremony, Bedford Police also swore in their newest officer, Nathan Slack. Officer Slack comes to Bedford from New Jersey and has served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is expected to attend the New Hampshire Police Academy in January.
