Chelmsford Police Arrest Two Men on Heroin Charges
CHELMSFORD — Deputy Chief Dan Ahern reports that Chelmsford Police arrested two individuals on drug charges earlier today.
DENNIS MESSER, AGE 44, and JASON LAROCHE, AGE 38, BOTH OF NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, were arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin).
On Monday, Dec. 11, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Chelmsford Police officers were patrolling in the area of Hannaford Supermarket, 66-2 Drum Hill Road, when they observed two men — later identified as MESSER and LAROCHE — behaving suspiciously.
Following an on-scene investigation, the officers determined that MESSER and LAROCHE had heroin in their possession, and placed both men into custody. During the process of the arrest, a vehicle drove past the officers at a high rate of speed and nearly struck one of them before leaving the parking lot.
It is currently unclear whether the vehicle that nearly struck an officer is connected to the individuals who were arrested, and Chelmsford police are continuing to investigate.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
