Exeter High School Hosts Successful Open House
EXETER — Exeter High School Principal Michael Monahan is pleased to announce that EHS welcomed hundreds of parents to its open house earlier this month.
The open house on Oct. 5 provided approximately 300 parents an opportunity to visit their students’ classrooms and meet with their teachers, who gave a brief overview of their courses and the work students will be performing during the school year.
“I’m grateful to all of the parents who came to visit and meet with our faculty and staff,” Principal Monahan said. “The level of support the community consistently displays for our students and for the school truly is second to none.”
Each member of the school’s faculty and administration attended, including the school counselors, and several student groups were also in attendance:
- Hawk Crew members handed out student schedules, served refreshments and served as guides for parents as they navigated the building.
- The Class of 2020 sold T-shirts.
- Members of EHS Club Derek’s Smile, which works to provide support to children with serious illnesses, hosted an informational booth.
- A representative from Seacoast School of Technology provided parents with information about SST’s programs.
- Officer Mike Schwartz represented Seacoast Crime Stoppers, which works to ensure that crimes are reported by ensuring anonymity for people who provide tips to police.
