Hull Police Join the Pink Patch Project to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research

HULL — Chief John E. Dunn is pleased to announce that the Hull Police Department will be taking part in the Pink Patch Project by selling pink uniform patches and special t-shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Originating in southern California, the Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort between public safety agencies throughout the county designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support cancer research organizations.

For the entire month of October, Hull Police will be selling a pink version of the department’s uniform patch for $10 each and special pink patch t-shirts for $20 each.

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Last year, the department donated more than $1,800 to Dana-Farber and are hoping to raise even more money this year.

To purchase a patch or t-shirt, contact Officer Leanne Marshalsea at [email protected], or mail a check to:

Town of Hull Gift Fund
Attn: Pink Patch Project
1 School St.
Hull, MA 02045

Checks can be made payable to the Town of Hull Gift Fund. Residents should note there will be an extra $5 charge for t-shirts being sent through the mail.

In addition to selling the department patches, Hull Police officers will be wearing them as part of their uniforms during October.

“We are proud to partner with the Pink Patch Project again this year to help raise money for breast cancer research,” Chief Dunn said. “Sadly, many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and we want to do our part by showing our support and spreading awareness.”
