Dracut Police To Close Portion of Lakeview Avenue During Old Home Day Festivities

DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett wishes to remind residents of planned road closures that will impact traffic during Dracut Old Home Day tomorrow.

Old Home Day activities are scheduled to be held at the school complex on Lakeview Avenue beginning at 8 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 9. The Old Home Day Road Race and Salvation Army Bike Ride will also be held in that area during the day.

In order to accommodate those events, the Dracut Police Department will close Lakeview Avenue from the intersection with Harold Road to the intersection with New Boston Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Traffic delays are expected as a result of the closure, and Dracut Police encourage motorists to allow extra time for travel and ask that drivers pay extra attention to increased vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
