North Reading Police Arrest Robbery Suspect
NORTH READING — Chief Michael P. Murphy reports that the North Reading Police Department arrested a man for allegedly robbing a gas station over the weekend.
MICHAEL TALLINI, AGE 32, OF NORTH READING is charged with unarmed robbery.
Police located TALLINI in North Reading at 7:38 a.m. today after securing a warrant for his arrest yesterday. He was taken into custody without incident.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, just before 9 p.m., North Reading Police received a report from a clerk at Speedway gas station, 231 Main St., that the store had just been robbed.
The male suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash. Police searched the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate anyone.
Following an investigation and review of surveillance footage from the store, police determined the suspect to be TALLINI.
After releasing images from the store’s surveillance system to the public and media, North Reading Police were able to locate TALLINI this morning.
“I want to thank everyone who shared our message and sent in tips,” Chief Murphy said. “We’re pleased to have brought this case to a swift resolution.”
TALLINI was booked at the North Reading Police Department and then transported to Woburn District Court for arraignment.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
