Carlisle Police Department Investigating Incident Involving Woman Accosted by Man in Parking Lot
CARLISLE — Chief John Fisher is alerting the public after a woman reported to the Carlisle Police Department that she was accosted by a man as she was trying to enter her motor vehicle in a parking lot yesterday.
A woman reported to the Carlisle Police Department that she was out for a run in the trails at Great Brook State Park. Once she finished, at about 7:30 p.m., she encountered a man in the parking lot, who stood behind her car, blocking her from pulling out. The man then came up to her car window yelling “no” and then yelling incoherently. The woman reported that the man then put his hands on her window as she backed out and drove away.
The suspect is described as a dark complexion white or Hispanic male, approximately 40-years-old. He was reportedly wearing green outerwear, an American Flag bandanna and white do-rag on his head, and light colored gloves with the finger tips cut off.
Carlisle Police are actively searching for the suspect. Anyone with information, or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the Carlisle Police Department at 978-369-1155.
