Friends of Bedford First Responders to Host Fundraising Events to Benefit Bedford Police Association
BEDFORD — Lt.Michael Bernard, President of the Bedford Police Association, is pleased to announce that the Friends of Bedford First Responders is hosting two fundraising events to benefit the Bedford Police Association and Bedford Fire Association.
The Friends of Bedford First Responders, a nonprofit organization, will put on a family fun day, dinner and comedy show on June 3. All proceeds raised from the events will go toward police officers, firefighters and EMTs in need.
“This day is really about coming together to show thanks and appreciation for all the work Bedford first responders do on a daily basis,” Lt. Bernard said. “Our goal is to bring together all members of the community for a fun day filled with activities while raising money for a great cause.”
June 3 will commence with the outdoor family fun day, featuring a variety of food, exhibitions and safety demonstrations from both the fire and police departments. It will be held at the Bedford Mall next to Kohl’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Later in the day, residents will have the opportunity to attend a dinner and comedy show at the Executive Court Banquet Facility in Manchester from 6-11 p.m. The event will be comprised of comedians, a live auction and raffles. Tickets are $45 and guests must to be 21 or older to attend.
Prior to the June 3 events, the Friends of Bedford First Responders will be making their way around town to sell tickets to the comedy show. Members of the nonprofit will be at the entrance of Michael’s School of Hair Design and Esthetics at the Bedford Mall on South River Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11. All are encouraged to stop by and make a donation to the Bedford Police Benevolent Association or to pick up tickets for the show.
Additionally, to help the Bedford Police Association, residents can:
- Donate a raffle item, auction item, or gift certificate from your business.
- Make a monetary donation. Any donation over $250 will be included on a banner of recognition, displayed at the family fun day and at the comedy show dinner.
- Donate money towards purchasing dinner tickets for first responders dinner tickets. The Bedford Police Association aims to fund all tickets for first responders and their significant others who are interested in attending the comedy show.
Monetary donations can be mailed to 55 Constitution Drive, Bedford N.H. and made it out to the “Bedford Police Benevolent Association.”
