Bedford Police Investigating Bomb Threat at Daycare
Police Believe There is No Danger to Public
BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is investigating a bomb threat made against a local daycare today.
Shortly after 11 a.m., police received a call from Primrose School at Bedford Hills, a private daycare facility located at 3 Cooper Lane, reporting that they had just received a bomb threat via telephone.
Officers responded to the scene and assessed the audio recording with company officials. As a precaution, the building was evacuated, and all children were taken to a neighboring care facility while police conducted a search. Daycare officials notified parents through the company’s emergency alert system.
After a search of the interior and exterior of the building, nothing dangerous was found and Bedford Police determined the threat was not credible. Children and daycare employees were allowed back into the building and resumed normal activities. No one was injured during the process.
The incident is under investigation by the Bedford Police Department. Anyone with any information regarding this threat is asked to contact Bedford Police at 603-472-5113.
