*Update* Bridgewater Police Release Photo in Home Invasion, Armed Robbery Investigation

Bridgewater Police are releasing the above surveillance photo in an effort to identify a suspect who allegedly used the victim’s ATM card to withdraw money at an area bank during a home invasion and armed robbery earlier today.

BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher D. Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and home invasion that occurred on Spring Street early this morning.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., Bridgewater Police responded to a convenience store in Randolph after receiving a report from Randolph Police that a Bridgewater resident had been taken at gunpoint and dropped off at the store on North Main Street.

Upon arrival, Bridgewater officers spoke with the victim, a 56-year-old man, who said that three suspects broke into his Spring Street apartment between 1-2 a.m. All three suspects were described as black males, and two of them were allegedly armed with handguns. The victim told police that he was blindfolded and restrained in his apartment, then forced into a vehicle. The suspects then allegedly drove him to several banks and forced him to withdraw money using his ATM card.

The suspects obtained a quantity of cash from the victim before dropping him at the store in Randolph.

The victim had been beaten and was transported to Brockton Hospital with injuries that are considered serious but not life-threatening.

The incident is under investigation by Bridgewater Police Department Detectives. Police are currently reviewing bank surveillance footage, which shows a light-skinned black male covering his face with a coat and allegedly holding the victim’s ATM card, as well as a light-colored suspect vehicle. Additional information about the suspects and suspect vehicle will be released as Bridgewater Police obtain it.
