*UPDATE* Bedford Police Release Condition of Pedestrians Involved in Motor Vehicle Crash
BEDFORD — Chief John J. Bryfonski and the Bedford Police Department report that one of the victims in last week’s motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians has died.
THOMAS DUCHARME, AGE 58, OF BEDFORD died on Saturday as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
GREGORY ULIASZ, AGE 58, OF BEDFORD has been released from the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department’s Technical Accident Reconstruction team.
On Tuesday, Nov. 8, just after 7 a.m., Bedford Police received a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Pembroke Way. Upon arrival, they found that DUCHARME and ULIASZ, who were jogging on Pembroke Way, had been struck by a sedan.
Both were transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester with life-threatening injuries.
The driver is a 16-year-old male from Bedford. His name will not be released due to his age.
At this time, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, however, police are looking into whether frost on the windshield of the sedan may be a factor.
Bedford Police remind residents to always make sure their front and back windshields are fully defrosted before operating their motor vehicles.
