Natick Police Investigating Possible Hate Crime
NATICK — Chief James G. Hicks reports that the Natick Police Department is investigating a series of threatening letters left on a resident’s doorstep this weekend. The incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
On Friday, Nov. 11, Natick Police received a report from a male party who found two threatening letters on his doorstep on two consecutive days. The first letter, handwritten, was found at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10. The second letter, typed, was found at approximately 7 p.m. Friday night. Both letters contain profanity and racial slurs.
“This kind of behavior is not indicative of the values of the Town of Natick and will not be tolerated in our community,” Chief Hicks said. “The department is taking this case very seriously and we will investigate to our fullest capabilities to ensure the safety and security of our residents.”
Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to contact the Natick Police Department at (508) 647-9500.
