*UPDATE* Bedford Police Release Names of Pedestrians Involved in Morning Crash
BEDFORD — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department is releasing the names of the two pedestrians involved in this morning’s crash.
THOMAS DUCHARME, AGE 58, OF BEDFORD and GREGORY ULIASZ, AGE 58, OF BEDFORD were jogging on Pembroke Way when they were struck by a sedan.
Both were transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester with life-threatening injuries. They both remain in serious condition.
The driver is a 16-year-old male from Bedford. His name will not be released due to his age.
Just after 7 a.m. this morning, Bedford Police responded to the area of 14 Pembroke Way on a report of a single motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, police learned that a male operator in a sedan struck two adult male pedestrians who were on Pembroke Way.
The crash remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department’s Technical Accident Reconstruction team. At this time, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, however, police are looking into whether frost on the windshield of the sedan may be a factor.
Bedford Police remind residents to always make sure their front and back windshields are fully defrosted before operating their motor vehicles.
Pembroke Way is now open.
