The Psychological Center, Inc. to Host Benefit Gala Next Weekend

LAWRENCE — The Psychological Center, Inc. (TPC) is pleased to announce that it will be holding its Overcoming Obstacles Gala next weekend to benefit its homelessness, addiction and recovery programs.

WHEN:

Friday, Oct. 14 from 7-11 p.m.

WHERE:

Salvatore’s Restaurant, 354 Merrimack St.

WHO:

  • The Psychological Center
  • Bill Burt, Emcee
  • Jim Jajuga Sr., Auctioneer
  • Charlie Manzi, Honoree

WHAT:

All proceeds raised at the Overcoming Obstacles Gala will benefit TPC’s three programs, which provide emergency shelter and individualized addiction treatment services: Daybreak Shelter, Pegasus House and Women’s View.

The event, hosted by Michael Agricola of Salvatore’s Restaurant, will honor Charlie Manzi who is on the Board of Directors for TPC. Manzi, who is also an addiction counselor at Serenity at Summit in Haverhill and a marketing sales manager at Comfort Home Care, is being honored for his contributions and dedication to the Merrimack Valley community. With the support of a large network of family and friends, he has been able to overcome his own personal obstacles.

Nearly 100 silent and live auction items have been donated for the event. In addition to seven table sponsors for the event, supporting sponsors include Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union, Pentucket Bank and Middlesex Healthcare Services.

Individual tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased here.

“We are overwhelmed by the support that the community has shown so quickly for this event,” said Carina Pappalardo, CEO of The Psychological Center. “This gala will help to raise much needed funds for our programs and we are so appreciative of everyone who has already purchased tickets and sponsorships. Special thanks to Salvatore’s for hosting this event.”
