A JUVENILE MALE, AGE 17, OF CHELSEA is charged with:
- Armed Assault With Intent to Murder
- Assault and Battery
On Sunday, Sept. 11, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Chelsea Police responded to the area of 250 Congress Ave. for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found a 57-year-old man from East Boston inside of his vehicle suffering from an apparent stab wound.
After receiving multiple descriptions of two suspects from the victim and other witnesses, police were able to locate the two juveniles during a search of the area immediately after receiving the initial call.
Based on an initial investigation, police believe that the victim may have been subcontracting for a livery company and giving the two juvenile suspects a ride before the alleged stabbing occurred inside the vehicle, which is a mini-van.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with serious injuries. He is listed in stable but serious condition at this time.
Chelsea Police Detectives are actively investigating this incident.
The two suspects are being held at the Chelsea Police Station pending their arraignment in Chelsea District Court tomorrow.
