Concord Police Investigating Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash
CONCORD — Chief Joseph O’Connor reports that the Concord Police Department responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash this morning that resulted in the death of the driver.
Concord Police and Fire responded to the area of 1800 Main St. at 7:28 a.m. Upon arrival, officers and firefighters found a 1999 Toyota Camry that has been traveling eastbound on Main Street (Which is also Rt. 62) when it exited the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 59-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The crash is under investigation by the Concord Police Department and State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded to assist.
At this time, police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors.
Main Street was closed between Harrington Avenue and Forest Ridge Road from 7:30 to 11:15 a.m.
