Woburn Police Arrest Man After Early Morning Stabbing
WOBURN — Chief Robert Ferullo reports that the Woburn Police Department arrested a man for allegedly stabbing another man outside of a restaurant early Friday morning.
JAMES LYONS, AGE 36, OF WOBURN is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder.
At approximately 12 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 Woburn Police responded to Jake n Joe’s, 230 Mishawum Road. Upon arrival, police found a 31-year-old Woburn man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.
The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries.
“This case is a prime example of strong investigative work by detectives who were able to apprehend a violent felon within 18 hours after the incident,” Chief Ferullo said.
This incident remains under investigation by Woburn Police Detectives and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
