Burlington Police Department Arrests Man on Drug Charges
BURLINGTON – Chief Michael Kent reports that the Burlington Police Department arrested a man on drug charges this week after a lengthy investigation by the department’s Detective Unit.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9, officials obtained a search warrant for 2 Louise Road in Burlington, where the suspect was found to be in possession of nearly fifty grams of marijuana.
As a result, RYAN SULLIVAN, AGE 19, of BURLINGTON, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class D Substance (Marijuana)
- Distribution of a Class D Substance (Marijuana)
Over the past 11 months, detectives have investigated the illegal distribution of marijuana from SULLIVAN’S address. During the course of their investigation, officials determined that SULLIVAN was distributing large amounts of marijuana from the residence.
Detectives identified dozens of customers who would arrive at the residence and spend a short amount of time in the driveway with SULLIVAN, before leaving.
“This case is an example of the diligence, persistence, and dedication that our Detective Unit gives to our department and, in turn, the community,” Chief Kent said. “I appreciate the exemplary work of these officers who took a dealer off the streets.”
