Andover Police Arrest Man for OUI

ANDOVER — Chief Patrick Keefe reports that the Andover Police Department arrested a man last night for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.

RAYMOND J. BOURQUE, AGE 55, OF BOXFORD is charged with:

• OUI Liquor
• Following Too Closely

On Friday, June 24, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an Andover Police Officer responded to the area of 5 Lowell St./Route 133 on a report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon the officer’s arrival to the scene, he learned that a Toyota Sienna minivan was rear-ended by a Mercedes-Benz GL450 while going through a construction zone. No one was injured.

The officer then spoke to the operator of the Mercedes, identified as BOURQUE. He determined that BOURQUE was intoxicated and placed him under arrest.

BOURQUE was booked at the Andover Police Department and released on bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Lawrence District Court.
