At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, police received a report of two women who were possibly shoplifting in the area of Lower Main Street and Doc Square. Shop owners in the area believed the women were transferring the stolen items into bags in the backseat of a red Subaru.
Based on witness accounts, officers were able to identify VERGA and CLAYTON as the suspected shoplifters. Upon further investigation, officers discovered $460 worth of stolen merchandise from the following businesses:
- Happy Whale/House of Glass, 59 Bearskin Neck
