Tyngsborough Police Searching for Robbery Suspect
TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police is actively searching for a suspect involved in breaking and entering into a business and stealing multiple firearms yesterday.
At approximately 3:36 a.m. on Feb. 15, police responded to Hitman Firearms, 404 Middlesex Road, for a security alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed that the glass front door was shattered and the inside metal door was also compromised.
According to police, four handguns, all black, were stolen from the building, including two .38 Special revolvers, one .45 caliber pistol, and one 9mm pistol.
Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area, but are not prepared to release a description of a suspect at this time.
Based on similarities of this robbery, police believe that this incident may be linked to another robbery that occurred on Feb. 4 at Wicked Weaponry Firearms, 114 Londonderry Turnpike, Hooksett, N.H.
“We are actively investigating this incident, along with the Massachusetts State Police,” Chief Howe said. “If anyone has any information about this robbery, we urge them to immediately contact police.”
Anyone with any information about this case is asked to contact Lt. Shaun Wagner at 978-649-7504 ext. 107. Callers can also leave an anonymous message at 978-649-7504 and dialing 9 when prompted.
