Maynard Establishes Business Environment Enhancement Program
MAYNARD — Town Administrator Kevin Sweet, in conjunction with the Maynard Economic Development Committee, is thrilled to announce the establishment of its “Business Environment Enhancement Program” (BEEP).
The program offers grant opportunities to fund projects that improve the town’s business community.
“We see BEEP as a way to give local businesses, organizations, community groups or even individuals the opportunity to use their creativity
and expertise to take their ideas forward and improve Maynard’s business climate in any number of ways,” Administrator Sweet said. “We’re excited to offer this initiative and look forward to growing and improving our business district.”
Eligible projects could range from paint or sign improvements for a business, all the way to a major initiative for public infrastructure. A point-based rating system allows each project to be graded based on its potential impacts to the downtown. The grant is subject to available annual funding.
Applicants must receive approval for the project from the Economic Development Committee with the final decision made by the Board of Selectmen.
