Wakefield Police Wish Residents a Safe and Happy Fourth of July
Watch Children During Public Events
If You See Something, Say Something
WAKEFIELD – Chief Richard E. Smith and the Wakefield Police Department would like to wish residents and visitors a very Happy Independence Day, and they hope everyone enjoys the many events in Wakefield and around the community safely.
The Wakefeld Fourth of July Parade begins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and goes down North Avenue to Church Street to Main Street.
Fireworks are over Lake Quannapowitt begin at 9:30.
With events going on and large crowds expected, Chief Smith reminds all residents and visitors to keep an eye on their children and remain vigilant.
Please do not leave and unattended bags, backpacks, or coolers in public areas.
Likewise, if you see someone suspicious or that looks of place, notify a Wakefield Police Officer as soon as possible.
“The men and women of the Wakefield Police Department are here to help, and we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable holiday,” Chief Smith said. “As always, if you see something, say something.”
