Dedham Declares Snow Emergency and Parking Ban
No School Monday
DEDHAM — The Town of Dedham is declaring a Snow Emergency and instituting an Emergency Parking Ban in advance of the impending snow storm. Dedham Public Schools will be closed on Monday.
A parking ban will be in effect from 7 a.m. on Monday, February 2 through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3. The town encourages all residents to please make every effort to remove vehicles from the streets. If it is necessary to park on the street. All vehicles MUST be parked on the even-numbered side of the street.
Vehicles in violation of the parking ban and restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Trash and recycling will NOT be collected on Monday, February 2. Trash and recycling will be one day late for the remainder of the week. If circumstances require additional delays, residents will receive a message with additional information.
Please report all power outages to NSTAR at 800-592-2000. Please have your NSTAR electric account number available when you call. It is extremely helpful to NSTAR to receive calls from all residents to assist them in assessing the extent of the power outage.
If you have a life threatening emergency, please call 911. For general, non-emergency calls, please call the Dispatch Center at 781-751-9300.
The Town will have shelters open and available and will also assist in relocating residents, if necessary.
Please remember to keep all heat exhaust pipes clear of snow for safe circulation. Please check on family, friends, neighbors, and especially the elderly. Please use caution when driving and be aware of pedestrians and use extra care when approaching intersections.
