Concord Police Department Business Telephone Line May Be Down for 15-20 Minutes on Saturday Morning for Upgrades

911 Service Not Affected

CONCORD — The Town of Concord, Mass. on Saturday is beginning the second phase of a planned telephone technology upgrade program.

While measures are being taken to ensure that there is minimal, if any disruption to telephone service, the Concord Police Department Business lines, 978-318-3400 and 978-318-1212 may be down for 15-20 minutes starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Police Chief Joseph O’Connor says that 911 service will NOT be affected.

“These upgrades to the telephone system will allow town departments to better serve the community,” Chief O’Connor said. “The Police Department is working with the vendor to minimize any disruption in business telephone line service, and we want to thank our residents for their patience as we complete the upgrades.”
