Sudbury Fire Department Battles 2-Alarm Blaze
No Injures in House Fire
SUDBURY — Fire Chief William Miles reports that the Sudbury Fire Department battled a 2-alarm house fire this afternoon.
The fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. at 106 Ruddock Road. Fire crews responded and called out a second alarm response. The fire broke out in the bathroom and spread to the attic before crews were able to knock it down.
“Our crews were able to arrive quickly and stop this fire before it consumed the house, despite the fact that home was set far away from the road,” Chief Miles said. “It was a good all-around effort by our firefighters and the responding mutual aid communities.”
Two people were home at the home, and both escaped the house safely. No injures were reported.
Fire crews from Framingham, Lincoln, Maynard, Wayland and Concord responded to the fire, while the Weston, Hudson, and Marlborough Fire Departments covered the Sudbury fire stations.
There is no word on a cause at this time.
