Crisis communications is one of the most important tasks a PR professional will tackle in their careers. Nobody knows that better than the PR/PIO people working on the day of the 2013 Boston Marathon and the weeks that followed.
I was honored and happy to take part in the PRSA/Publicity Club of New England “Code Red” Boston Marathon Crisis Communications Panel with Nicole Russo of 452 Marketing, Michael Morrison from Mass General Hospital, Tim Sullivan from Spaulding Rehabilitation, and Kat Powers from the Red Cross. And special thanks to Liz Brunner, the former WCVB reporter turned PR pro for moderating the discussion!
The event was held at the Museum of Science on Feb. 24. Posting this entry now because I just found the video!
