Two Injured in Crash on Route 138 in Raynham Overnight
RAYNHAM — Fire Chief James T. Januse and Police Chief James Donovan report that the Raynham Fire and Police Departments responded to a crash on Route 138 late Wednesday night where two people were injured.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to the area of 1958 Broadway in Raynham, near the Easton town line. Members of the Easton Fire Department also responded.
Upon arrival, rescuers found two vehicles that had collided partially head-on. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
A 51-year-old Taunton man, who was driving a brown 2003 Toyota Corolla, was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital.
A 39-year-old Walpole woman, driving a green 2010 Toyota Rav4, was taken by an Easton Fire Department ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles.
Route 138 was closed down for about 45 minutes until the scene was cleared.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Raynham Police Department.
