Maynard Public Schools to Conduct Mold Testing at Green Meadow School
MAYNARD — Superintendent Robert Gerardi reports that the Maynard Public School District will be hiring an outside vendor to conduct an air quality test for mold in the Green Meadow School.
A concern about potential mold in the oldest section of the Green Meadow School was brought to the attention of school administrators late last week by a staff member. Early this week, the DPW/Facility Director will be hiring a reputable vendor to conduct mold testing at the Green Meadow School. Out of an abundance of caution, the entire kindergarten wing of the Green Meadow School will be tested.
“The health, safety and wellness of our staff and students is one of our top priorities,” Superintendent Gerardi said. “While right now we do not believe there is any cause for concern, the school will be thoroughly tested and Maynard Public Schools will take appropriate actions if the results find anything.”
As of last week, no other staff members or students had reported any similar concerns.
