Arlington Police Arrest Two after Cocaine Trafficking Investigation
More than 225 Grams of Cocaine Seized After Investigation into Drug Trafficking
ARLINGTON — Chief Frederick Ryan reports that the Arlington Police Department arrested two men after an investigation into cocaine trafficking in the community.
After a thorough investigation by Arlington Police detectives, DAVID GOOD, AGE 22 and JEREMY WEAVER, AGE 19, BOTH OF ARLINGTON were arrested.
“These arrests send a clear message that we take our responsibility to seek out and arrest drug dealers and traffickers very seriously,” said Arlington Police Captain Richard Flynn. “The hard work and dedication of our Arlington Police detectives ensured that a significant quantity of dangerous drugs has been seized, and two people who profit from human suffering have been arrested. Our department’s work in rooting out the supply of drugs while helping those suffering from substance use disorders seek treatment will continue.”
The Arlington Police Department on Friday evening were conducting surveillance in a commercial parking lot on Massachusetts Avenue, looking for GOOD, the primary target of the investigation. Earlier, police had secured an arrest warrant for GOOD after an investigation that indicated he allegedly was engaged in the trafficking and distribution of cocaine.
Officers observed GOOD riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle that arrived in the parking lot, and officers approached. Another man, later identified as WEAVER was in the passenger seat, and a female was in the back seat.
The officers announced that they had an arrest warrant for GOOD and asked him to step out of the vehicle. An investigation ensued, and police found a nearly 20 grams of marijuana, cash, scales, and cocaine. In total, 225.5 grams of cocaine were seized from GOOD.
GOOD was charged with:
- Trafficking in a Class B Substance (Cocaine, two counts)
WEAVER was charged with:
- Possession of a Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute
GOOD is being held without bail pending arraignment Monday in Cambridge District Court. WEAVER is being held on $5,000 bail and will be arraigned Monday as well.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
